Kansas Wedding Limousines

Plan the ride of a lifetime for your Kansas wedding.

Renting a limousine to transport the wedding party to the reception is a popular tradition for bridal couples. But there are many other options today besides the big white stretch limo. Read the Kansas Wedding Limousine Guide to find the perfect ride on your big day.

Eastern Kansas

If you will be getting married in one of the larger cities in eastern Kansas, such as Manhattan, Wichita or Lawrence, you will have plenty of options when reserving a limousine. Many companies based out of Kansas City, Missouri also provide service into Kansas. On this side of the state you are much more likely to find the kind of car you desire. Whether you are looking for a white stretch limo or a black custom Hummer, with so much competition, you will surely find your perfect choice. If you plan to transport all your attendants and family with you, check out places such as Party Express Bus, serving Wichita and the surrounding area. This type of rental company offers converted buses with stereos, DVD players and perimeter seating. By moving all the seats to the outside, conversations are much easier and people are not crushed into rows. This is a great option for large wedding parties. Smaller wedding parties might be able to transport all the guests to a special reception location such as a lakeside lodge.

Western Kansas

For those couples getting married in the western part of Kansas, the choices are a bit more limited. Rural towns and open spaces don't lend themselves to profitable operations for limo rentals. The good news is those that do rent limos in the wide-open spaces of the Kansas prairie cover much larger areas. Customer service is usually excellent as one bad recommendation can close a business. Check out the online version of the Yellow Pages, where you can type in your city under the Limousine Rental heading and find addresses and phone numbers for limo companies. You won't find many companies operating in western Kansas with websites, but most offer wider coverage in terms of miles than their urban cousins. If there isn't a service to reach your special part of Kansas, consider alternative transportation. Horse drawn carriages, classic cars, antique machinery and covered wagons can all be used to carry the newlyweds off into the sunset.

Regardless of where you rent your limousine, a few basic guidelines apply. If your plans include a spring or summer wedding, plan to book early. Along with many other brides and grooms looking for special transportation, prom attendees are also reserving cars and prom season is the busiest time for limousine services. Minimum hour rentals go up and so do prices. Get every detail which is important to you in writing. If you want the limo to take you and your attendants from your house to the wedding venue before the ceremony, clearly state what time you wish to be picked up. You will pay an extra charge while the car waits at the ceremony site to take you to the reception, but you will be certain your limo will not be late. Listen to the employees when they recommend two cars for you and your eight passengers. While some vehicles can handle more riders, your attendants' formal wear and your wedding dress take up much more space than the ordinary business suit. Do not expect to cram extra people into a limo at the last minute. This is both unfair and unsafe for the driver.

Renting a limo in some parts of Kansas is not the easiest part of planning a wedding. But with a little flexibility and creativeness, you will find the perfect transportation to your wedding. Classic cars such as convertible T-birds are as traditional as any limousine ride and might be a better fit for your wedding theme.
